Dr Jamie Reid-Baxter
Jamie retired from the European Parliament translation service in September 2011. An honorary research fellow in Scottish History at Glasgow University since 1996, he now works fulltime on academic research and cultural projects. Since 1982 he has been prominent in bringing about and participating in live performances not only of Renaissance Scottish music, but also poetry and drama, including that of George Buchanan. Since 1993 he has published widely on the history, music, literature and religious life of 16th and early 17th Scotland, including online editions of neo-Latin verse. He published books on the poetry of Elizabeth Melville (fl.1598-1631) in 2010 and on the composer Jhone Angus (d.1598) in 2011.
